In Matthew 5, Jesus tells his followers that they are the salt of the earth. He emphasises this further by also stating that they are also the light of the world. In life, salt and light have an immediate impact on the environment that they are exposed to.
For us at Foresight Academy, this is a call to not only to influence our surrounding but that our actions should be so different that onlookers can only give God the glory. We are inspired to influence young lives while there is still a chance to do so.
Founded in 2014, Foresight Academy is a Kindergarten & Primary school purposely built to meet the education needs of the growing number of young families now living in Ruaka and the surrounding area.
Guaranteed Added Value
Reports are given at the end of each term that highlight students’ progress throughout the term. Progress reports go beyond highlighting students’ academic performance but extend to highlight students co-curricular progress as well.
Every term we explore a theme that runs across the entire school. The children learn Bible truths and virtues relating to the theme and this develops their spiritual growth. In addition, each day begins with devotion.
School days run from 8am to 2pm for kindergarten students and from 8am to 4pm for primary students. It is our belief that our school timings provide adequate time for our students to interact with one another, with their teachers and most importantly be imparted with the necessary academic and co-curricular skills for a life of success.
We provide a hot beverage and snack to all students at 10.00 am. The children have school lunch together, assisted by the teachers and a nutritious menu is provided at the start of term for the parents to know what we eat at school.
Parent Teachers Consultation
These are termly forums for parents to meet with their children’s teachers to discuss the progress of their child. The meetings are held during half-term holidays of each holiday. Parents are encouraged to attend these meetings to ensure that the coordinated parent-teacher efforts and resultant synergy leads to notable progress for all children.
